MOHAMED METWALLY
CEO & Managing Director
With more than 28 years of investment banking experience, Mr. Metwally has been appointed by NI Capital’s Board on August 1st, 2019; to lead NI Capital as its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Metwally has taken over the transformation of the company’s business strategy in line with the Government’s vision and its new business model of having a publicly owned company privately managed by leading experts.
Prior to joining NI Capital, Mr. Metwally held the position of Deputy CEO at HC Securities & Investment since 2012. Before that he was the Managing Director & CEO of Siraj Finance, a mortgage finance company based in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Metwally had previously held the positions of the Regional Head of Middle East Investment Banking at Salomon Brothers (London), and subsequently Merrill Lynch (London), and Standard Chartered Bank and HSBC based in Dubai. Mr. Metwally’s investment banking transaction experience spans a wide range of sectors and products including M&A advisory, equity and debt capital markets transactions, and leveraged finance. Mr. Metwally started his career on Wall Street as a real estate equity research analyst at Salomon Brothers New York.
Mr. Metwally earned his MBA at Columbia Business School, New York (USA) where he was awarded the Merit Fellowship, and later received Executive Leadership training at INSEAD (France) and London Business School (United Kingdom).
Prior to joining the investment banking industry, Mr. Metwally was a Registered Architect in the State of New York (1985-1993.) He holds a BA in Architecture from Pratt Institute (New York) and BSc in Architectural Engineering from Cairo University (Egypt).
Mr. Metwally is also the non-executive chairman of Tamweely Microfinance Company, a non-executive board member of Ayady Holding, Egypt Ventures, EBE Factoring, Ayady Misr for Industrial Development, Ergo Media Ventures. Mr. Metwally had previously served on the Boards of several institutions including Egyptians Abroad Investment Company (ODEN), HC Brokerage Company, HC Investment Bank DIFC, the International Advisory Board of Cairo Stock Exchange, Addax Bank, Siraj Finance Company, Alkine Benzene E-LAB company, and Fajr Gas Pipeline Company.
ASHRAF NEGM
Non-Executive Chairman of The Board
Mr. Negm currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the National Investment Bank, where he has over 38 years of banking experience. He has worked in leading banks such as the Egyptian American Bank, Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), Egyptian British Bank, and S.A.I.B. Bank. Prior to that, Ashraf Negm served as an ex- board member of the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone and a member of its investment and audit committees. He also served as a board member of the Main Development Company and a member of its investment and audit committees. He has worked in the treasury, capital markets, and external relations sectors for over 33 years. He was a member of the Egyptian Association of Dealers in Capital Markets and Treasurer from 2004 to 2016.
Negm holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Liberty University Maryland, USA. He has also received specialized and advanced courses in treasury and financial markets from (HSBC Hong Kong and England), as well as an “Effective Board Member” certificate from the Central Bank of Egypt and the Egyptian Banking Institute in 2016.
OSSAMA SALEH
Non - Executive Board member
Mr. Saleh assumed the role of Minister of Investment in 2012 for two consecutive terms. In 2009, he was appointed as the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (“GAFI”) for four years. Prior to Chairing GAFI, Mr. Saleh was the Chairman of the Mortgage Finance Authority (“MFA”) for four years. He was responsible for laying the foundation of the mortgage finance industry in Egypt as well as the real estate appraising system and it’s respective rules and regulations.
Mr. Saleh currently chairs the board of several companies including Abu Soma Development Company, Damietta furniture City, Ayady Misr for Industrial Development and Sixth of October Development and Investment Company (“SODIC”). He also serves on the boards of several companies and institutions including the National Investment Bank, NI Capital, GAMA Construction Company and The Egyptian Company for Electricity Distribution.
Mr. Saleh is the founder and chief executive officer of Rise Invest for Financial and Investment Solutions.
Mr. Saleh has overall 25 years of banking experience. He held the position of The Regional Manager for Egypt and The Middle East at American Express Bank, he also served as a visitor professor at the American University in Cairo.
Mr. Saleh holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Cairo University. During his career he received a diploma in mortgage finance and securitization from Wharton University, in addition to several professional studies and degrees.
SHERIF SAMY
Non - Executive Board member
Mr. Sherif Samy serves as non-executive chairman and board member of a number of companies in the real estate, education and financial services sector. Additionally, he Chairs the Audit Committee of the State Pension Funds and is a Board Member of the National Investment Bank, the Universal Health Insurance Authority, the French University in Egypt and member of the International Advisory Board of the UAE Securities & Commodities Authority.
Mr. Samy is the former Chairman of the Commercial International Bank (CIB) and of Egypt’s independent non-banking financial regulatory authority (FRA) where he achieved a major legislative and regulatory leap in capital markets, insurance, mortgage, leasing, private pensions, factoring and microfinance.
He previously served on the board of the Central Bank of Egypt and its Monetary Policy Committee, and a member of the board of the country’s National Payment Council. He also headed the board of the Financial Services Institute, the Egyptian Institute of Directors and the Egyptian Accounting & Auditing Standards Committee.
Prior to that, he was the managing director of Banque Misr – investment arm “Misr Capital” and a board member of Banque Du Caire. Starting from 2007 he was appointed for several consecutive terms to the board of the investment promotion agency (GAFI).
Mr. Samy previously held leadership positions in consulting firms, operating in Egypt and various countries within the Arab region. He started his career with global consulting firm Accenture in Chicago in 1987.
DR. KHALED SERRY SEYAM

Dr. Khaled Serry Seyam has 31 years of academic and professional experience in both the legal and financial fields. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies in Bahrain and is a board member of several financial institutions, including Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), National Bank of Kuwait (NBK Egypt), National Post Authority, Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) and the Financial Service Institute (FSA).
As an Ex Chairman of EGX, Ex Deputy Chairman of FRA and Legal Advisor to the Ministers of Foreign Trade and Finance, He was involved in drafting various Egyptian Laws and Regulations – such as the Tax Law, PPP Law and Regulation, Securitization Law, Economic Courts Law, Non-Banking Financial Markets Law, Sukuk Regulations, amendments of Capital Markets Law, amendments of Criminal Procedures Law, Consumer Protection Law, Investment Law, Rules for listed companies on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, in addition to advising Governments and International Institutions on legal reforms including, Jordan, Bahrain, Kenya, Libya, Saint Lucia, World Bank (WB), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nation for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and (UN Women).
NIDAL ASSAR

Nidal El-Kassem Assar is the chief executive officer and managing director of EGBANK in March 2015. EGBANK became one of Egypt’s major banking institutions, according to various ratings and rankings, with a unique blend of regional investors from Egypt and the gulf as both Saudi and Kuwaiti’s own 40% of the bank shares.
Prior to joining EGBANK, Assar’s 20+ years career in banking and finance saw him take on numerous leadership roles in key private and public sector financial institutions, as well as sitting on the boards of some of Egypt and the region’s most renowned organizations.
Assar kicked off his career at Arab Bank in 1995 as a credit administrator, rising through the ranks to hold the position of capital markets and business development manager for Treasury in 2001. In 2004, Assar joined the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) as head of the Reserve Management Unit. There, he continued his rise, until his appointment as deputy governor for monetary stability in 2013.
During his time there, Assar was a key member of the country’s economic reform program launched by the CBE to overhaul Egypt’s banking system in accordance with international best practices.
Assar also sits on the boards of some of Egypt’s most prestigious organizations such as Cairo 3A for International Industries, Arab Contactors, Social Housing & Mortgage Finance Fund, Administrative Capital for Urban Development, NI Capital, AUR, and EgyptAir. He previously served on the boards of the Central Bank of Egypt, MICOR, Metallurgical Industries Holding, the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Egyptian Post, General Authority for Supply and Commodities, Arab International Bank, MCDR for Clearing and Depository, Egyptian Banking Institute, United Bank of Egypt, National Investment Bank and Chairman of Conrad Egypt.
Assar graduated with a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo in 1995 and earned his Masters Degree in Finance from both Harvard University and Syracuse University in 2001. In 2012, he graduated from the Advanced Management Program for Global Executives at the prestigious Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.
MOHAMED YEHIA

Mr. Yehia holds the Fellowship of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors and has worked in the accounting and auditing sector for 50 years, during which he reviewed and approved the financial statements of major companies and banks through his work at KPMG Corporation – Hazem Hassan and rose in positions within KPMG until he CEO of the company, before he decided to eventually retire.
He is currently a deputy chairman of the Egyptian Association of Accountants and Auditors, in addition to other institutes such as; the Committee for Listing and Delisting of Securities in the Stock Exchange, the main committee for setting accounting standards, auditing and professional conduct in Egypt, the specialized subcommittee of the unified accounting system and standards at the Central Auditing Organization, the Standing Committee for Standards in the Central Auditing Organization, currently he is advisor for FRA’s chairman and He was working as a part-time professor of accounting at the American University in Cairo.
DALIA MOSTAFA KAMEL ABDEL FATTAH

Mrs. Mostafa has over three decades of experience in the investment and finance industry, having been with National Investment Bank since 1987 in numerous capacities. Currently, she serves as Assistance Managing Director, Head of Investment & Resources & Financial Affairs. She is a member on the Board of Directors of Fajr Egyptian Natural Gas Company and e-finance Company. Mrs. Mostafa has previously served on the boards of Export Development Bank, Arab Investment Bank, Abkot Development and Tourism Company, Smart Aviation Company, Mopco Company and as a member of the Interim Committee for the management of Akedma. She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science from Cairo University.
NAGLAA El BIALY

Naglaa El Bialy is an accomplished alumnus of the American University of Cairo, having graduated from the Faculty of Economics with exceptional distinction. Presently, she serves as a trusted advisor to the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, specializing in investment and asset management. With a wealth of experience, she has been instrumental in advancing investment initiatives and optimizing the utilization of state-owned assets through collaborations with the private sector. Over her three decades of professional involvement, she has held several prominent roles within public administration and effectively overseen significant national projects within the Ministry of Investment and Ministry of Planning.
Among her notable achievements are pioneering the compilation of Egypt’s inaugural comprehensive catalog of unused state-owned assets. She has also assumed responsibility for the supervision, monitoring, and regulation of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and secondary offering transactions related to the sale of public shares in Joint Ventures, totaling an impressive value of LE 12.4 billion. Moreover, she has successfully established and currently manages the premier comprehensive database encompassing Joint Ventures and associated investment prospects in Egypt.
Naglaa El Bialy also held board positions at both Misr Iran Bank and Egyptian Gulf Bank, underscoring her multifaceted expertise and leadership within the financial sector.
